Mallory Fisher
Registered Provisional Psychologist
Prioritizing a therapeutic alliance built on trust and transparency, I welcome all individuals into the counselling space with curiosity, acceptance, and an open mind. As an integrative counsellor, collaborating with clients to find an approach to therapy which best suits their needs and hopes for therapy is important to me. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches, including narrative therapy, solution-focused therapy, and dialectical behaviour therapy. I provide services to individuals aged 15 years and older, and I offer both individual and couples counselling.
It is an immense privilege to work alongside individuals as they explore their identities, navigate through life transitions, and learn to trust themselves. I have a specific interest in the relationship that individuals have with themselves and with others. As such, some of my areas of focus include identity, self compassion, body image, disordered eating, embodiment, and intimacy. I approach therapy from an inclusive and exploratory lens, honouring the expertise of my clients in their own lived experience.
My educational background includes a Master of Education degree in Counselling Psychology from the University of Lethbridge and a Bachelor of Science degree from UBC. I view myself as a lifelong learner and have endless curiosity regarding the human experience, growth, and connection. Outside of my professional interests, I find grounding in my own life by practicing yoga, listening to music, exploring the outdoors, and spending time with loved ones.
