Stephanie Stevens
Registered Provisional Psychologist, Registered Dental Hygienist

As a Registered Provisional Psychologist with specialized training in a variety of therapeutic modalities, I am passionate about helping individuals and couples navigate the complexities of emotional, psychological, and relational health. My approach integrates a deep understanding of the human psyche with a compassionate, individualized treatment plan tailored to each client's needs.

Specializations:

  • Sex & Intimacy: Using a comprehensive, evidence-based approach, I work with individuals and couples to explore and address issues related to sexual health, intimacy, and relationship dynamics. Whether working through desire discrepancies, communication barriers, or deeper emotional connections, I create a safe space for healing and growth.

  • PTSD & Trauma: I specialize in treating individuals who have experienced trauma, utilizing art therapy techniques to provide alternative avenues for processing and healing. My approach recognizes the profound impact trauma can have on mental health and relationships, and I help clients develop healthier coping strategies while reclaiming a sense of safety and agency in their lives.

  • Couples Therapy (PACT Trained): As a trained therapist in the Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy (PACT), I offer evidence-based, attachment-focused treatment for couples. My work focuses on fostering secure emotional bonds, improving communication, and resolving conflicts to create deeper intimacy and long-lasting connection in relationships.

  • Mood Disorders: I work with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, and other mood disorders to uncover underlying emotional struggles and build sustainable strategies for emotional regulation. I utilize a combination of therapeutic techniques to help clients reclaim balance and well-being.

  • Caregiver Burnout: Supporting those who care for others, whether it’s a family member or a loved one, I provide guidance on managing stress, setting healthy boundaries, and preventing caregiver burnout. My goal is to help caregivers preserve their own mental health while effectively supporting their loved ones.

  • Senior Issues: With a compassionate approach, I work with older adults navigating issues such as aging, loss, and transitions in life. I help seniors develop strategies for managing emotional challenges and provide support for families as they care for aging loved ones.

Treatment Approach: I utilize a blend of evidence-based approaches, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and somatic therapies, all while integrating creative expression through art therapy. My focus is on fostering a warm, non-judgmental space where clients can feel safe to explore their emotions and experiences. I believe in the power of collaborative treatment and work alongside my clients to develop practical, effective solutions for lasting change.
